S!

Will check some things back home and report back. You could try re-install without uninstall and choose Repair. But checking in a bit later :-)

Thank you a lot!

Something I found meanwhile: If i look at all the Programms installed in the System-Control-planel, I can only find the AMD Catalyst Install Manager. CCC is nowhere but in the menu that appears if you right-click on the desktop....

AND: Just discovered that I don´t use a Driver for my Screen, just the normal PnP-Windows-thing. I found a driver-File in the internet but as it is not a .exe-file I have no idea how to install it....?

Hey

Thanks!

I just uninstall the old drivers, also using programms like Driver Cleaner etc.

After that i rebooted, and it looked like the old driver weren´t there anymore (low resolution). Then Windows informed me that it installed a driver for a standard VGA-Video-Card. I uninstalled this again and rebooted, but it installed this driver automatically again. So I decided to ignore it and installed the 12.8 ATI-Driver which worked out fine.

But:
The Driver-Version in my Hardware-Manager is 8.982.0.0. Catalyst Control Center seems to be installed but i can´t start it. All i get is the load-sign beside the mouse-pointer and nothing happens.

Besides that, I have an old Issue i used to ignore but that I wanted to fix with the new driver: I have a Screen that is big enough to support 1920x1080 but it only uses 1776x1000. The rest is just a black frame, nothing gets displayed at all. If i switch to 1920x1080, I get this resolution on the 1776x1000-space, so the screen looks blurry...

Any ideas at all?

Thank you very much!

Same problem here in 1920x1080 never got around to solve it (didnt put alot of time in it eigher) I run 1680x1050 for now - would be good though if some one knew how to fix it :)

By the way. What`s your CCC settings for CLOD with the latest patch?

S!

The Catalyst install manager controls installation of drivers and related components. They are not displayed individually on the list.

CCC doesn´t run at all on my PC! Do you use a driver for your screen?

Hmmm... So i won´t see CCC in this list anyway?

I remember that this morning, when I started the whole thing there were other AMD-Components in this list... But they might have been pre-CCC programms...

Update from the front:

After all, I could solve the problem with the black frame with the help of the AMD Vision Control Center, which is now properly running...

But still I have no CCC on my PC at all.... ?

S!

Continu0, the CCC is for non-AMD platforms and as you have AMD CPU and GPU it is called Vision. So same thing :) All is good.

Download your 12.8 driver here for your o/s. http://sites.amd.com/us/game/downloa...downloads.aspx
and the 12.7 CAP 3 Which has settings set by ATI for some games that improve performance even on none xfire systems these work automaticaly as you load the game such as ROF.
Forget trying to Instal/uninstal driver through control center.
Once downloaded run the 12-8_vista_win7_win8_64_dd_ccc exe file and select uninstal and then custom.Select all the from the list with the exeption of the chipset driver or the ahci driver .Run and restart ,when the system boots press F8 and run driver sweeper and uninstal any video drivers listed from ATI/AMD.Re-boot and run the 12-8_vista_win7_win8_64_dd_ccc exe file again which yo will now find on C:/AMD/support/12-8_vista_win7_win8_64_dd_ccc_whql/setup.exe.
Run the programme again and select instal and tick the lot.Anything you dont use wil not effect performance. The exe will instal the drivers then you can re-boot.Run the 12.7 CAP 3 & re-boot.Deferag only if you do not have and ssd hard drive.AMD VISION Control center (CCC)icon can be found in the windows taskbar programmes by the taskbar clock.Hope this helps.
