but my squadmate has everything maxed out, and it was him who couldnt see the clouds while i could with lowered video settings...

Actually mate, this makes sense now. When I was flying ATAG I saw some planes just disappear. I'm now wondering if they went behind a cloud I couldn't see. Just a thought.

That could explain what happened to me the other night. I was on ATAG sever and got into a scrap with two spits. I dove below a large cloud and checked my six. No one there so I must be safe then bam, tracers and then a shot to the head. Game over.
