mate, of course we all know what it needs: more time/more funds/better programmers

problem is.. they are not getting anything else than what they do have at this moment, at least until BoM is launched.. and that's where the danger of failure resides..

But how long is more time, they have had 6 (or 7) years in developement and a further 16 months 'bug fixing'?

People are turning away now, and with absolutally nothing on the horizon in the way of a workable fix (as said in other posts 'one step forward three steps back..') the situation will only deteriorate.

Turning features off and saying 'taadaa, temp fix' isn't fooling people and the sooned Luthior and other dev's admit that the better

I have said before and I will again, I really do want CLoD to work as I love it, but there is absolutally no hope of me (or many others) paying more good money to follow bad on a sequal/expansion until what we have is seen to work properly (Channel map coop's etc)

I am not sure if I can agree with that.

As far as i know, development took only 3-4 years so far. At some point, they startet to rewrite the engine again. Don´t ask me why.
But you are right with the point that the ressources for MG aren´t big (1C is hughe, but MG is under pressure).

About the people: With the latest patch, I can see much more activity on the German Ubi-Forum, so people keep watching the forums and obviously return if something happens. I guess if BoM is released in a good condition, bug-free, and with a stable performance, the community will grow rapidly...

About the "Turning-off-features": those are BETA-Patches. So theire purpose is to test, not to fix the game... I would wait for the next steam-patch before saying they turne off features.

I know the question should be directed at Luthier furbs, but the chances of him answering any questions is nil. He did say in one post that he was running about like his hair was on fire trying to fix this game, so I didn't want to stoke the fire by asking him to type here. I am hoping B6 can extinguish Luthiers hair for one moment and ask him where these fixes are..I mean, it's been 7 weeks and they are still not fixed.

No, it needs more time spent working on it.

There's also always silence before the body is lowered into the grave.

I think CLOD is 1C's 'Windows Vista' ; as much as I want it to be fixed and be what il2 1946 (and all its earlier guises) was like in the way it captivated me (and still does), it just looks like we're losing more things from it with every 'fix', of course it runs better everytime you turn something off, but its not exactly what we all had in mind. So many features are worse than il2, or simply not there/removed - dont get me wrong I'm hanging in there hoping they'll pull that masterstroke, but bloody hell, expectation is starting to wear a bit thin.
