Yeah, prices are high these days. I remember when I got Black Cross - Red Star Vol 1 and 2 for 90 DM (45€) combined ... and Volume 3 cost me about 100€.

;)

Every week I found myself reading some pages... amazing stuff, like the one on the Steinhilper book.

In this book and in "the Blond Knight of Germany" there is the story about the Russian soldiers raping the young girls after being delivered by the US soldiers, and while Graf says that after the Russian general arrived 3 guys were shot, Hartmann says they were hanged...

Does the Graf & Grislawski book contain anything on flying the 190?

I really want a good Fw190 pilot autobiography!

Stormbird by Hermann Buchner has quite a bit of 190 stuff before the Me262. I thought the book was ok, if a little brief.

Marseilles and Raaaid both seemed to have suffered a knock to the head too.

On a bit of a tangent, if you fancy a bit of luftwaffe fiction, Ace by Spencer Dunmore is a good read. Goes from Battle of Britain fledgling to jaded Bodenplatte veteran. You can usually pick one up for a song on Amazon these days.

Hey Featherhead,

Thanks for the tip, never heard about it.
What kind of book is it, History of Fiction? (This "luftwaffe fiction" makes me a bit curious)
