Thanks for posting. This was obviously a far more important modification for the RAF than 100 octane fuel had been earlier in the war. ;) |
I've read about P-38 crews in New Guinea that would pack the gun bay with bottles of beer and then have the pilot climb to 20,000+ feet and make a rapid decent back to the field as it was the only way to get a cold beer in that hell hole.
