Desertowl,
since I have installed latest driver, Ive got only in one object an artefact. (German AA twinMG). One is worse, others are o.k.

However, since driverupdate, I can config settings in the Nvideasetup menu and asign them to Clod, and seems to work now (the vsync for ex)
Can anybody confirm this?

Well... I´ve gone back to 285 drivers, and artifacts has gone... its a driver issue with some Nvidia 560Ti... suspect te OC models... but not sure.
Hope next patch (both, game and drivers) solves this.

People,

I have gone into Nvidia's forums to check to see if others are having similar problems to what DesertOwl has, and there are quite a few. It looks like there could be 2or 3 reasons for this happening and most of it points towards the Gigabyte 560ti O/C (possible bad O/C)
and some with power supplies that are not capable of running the required wattage of the card. Some multi rail p/s don't have the required current on any single rail to do the job. Here is a reply from the member who is running the thread to try and sort the problem.

Well, looking at the above a few things are popping out...

First thing anyone should be doing is checking out their PSU, a single high quality rail I think would be better than several smaller rails. I've read about numerous problems with multiple rail setups, things aren't quite as simple as adding rails together to the best of my understanding. Some have even told me that a PSU with three 18amp rails can't safely run a single 20amp device as an example, not sure of the truth to that. Anyone with a solid knowledge of electronics or engineering able to help with that? Alas I'm a biologist, these things are beyond me.

It does seem as though factory overclocked models are somewhat to blame, perhaps poor testing on the part of the manufacturers? Downclocking as a fix seems to be evidence of this. The Gigabyte 900s seem especially problematic, I saw it mentioned in other forums as well. Perhaps advise others to avoid this model for now.

We will have to wait to see if new drivers solve anything, but I doubt they will as the older drivers still seem to cause issues.

I'm still not convinced that the drivers aren't responsible for multi screen user issues however.

The user with sudden fps drops... Not sure on that one, perhaps driver updates in future will address it. Failing that what is your CPU?

Here's another post from the same thread that may help. (Rick)

PROBLEM - (SOLVED)
1) KFA2
2) GTX 560 Ti OC
3) 266.66
4) Single 24"
5) 650w psu
6) Windows 7 Ultimatex64
7) Artifacts in Mortal Online / 3Dmark 11 / FPS drops in games / lag

Solved for me.
Stock voltage 1.025 was not enough. I gave it 1.062v and my artifacts / lag / fps drops dissapeard.
It seems the volt for these cards (in my experiance) come to low and you need to give it more juice.

I used MSI afterburner to do this (new beta version from guru3d's site)

Hope this helps some of you, and as always with doing something like this, there's a risk involved.

Are any of you with problems using Gigabyte or Msi?? these seem to be the main cards that people are compaining about (Rick)

Here's the link to the thread at Nvidia forums but you may have to register there to have access.

Well, mine is a gigabyte, but not OC'ed, and i doubt its wattage issue.
the glitches were not there with the old driver and in your qoute from the nvidia forum it is stated that:
"We will have to wait to see if new drivers solve anything, but I doubt they will as the older drivers still seem to cause issues."

since MP is crashing at the moment anyway and graphic patch should be made available very soon now (hopefully...), i will keep on waiting patiently.
It was important for me to notify the developers of this issue so it will be taken into account.

Installed latest drivers, I think it got even worse...
same kind of black artifacts.

thx for the hint with the voltage...i have a EVGA 560Ti SC, set my voltage to 1.050v from 1.025v and the artefact are gone...

Hello Heinz,

Can you elaborate more on the voltage setup of the card? I don't have any other issues with the new drivers at any other sim / game so far.
If my card is not OC'ed, what are the correct voltage values and how do I set them up?

Heinz Laube 03-16-2012 12:45 PM

standard is 1.000V, in idle mode 0.95V , light OC versions have 1.025V...u can go up to 1.150V safely with OC without send ur card to the hell , some models get up to 1,200V, but just for extreme needed.... 1000Mhz GPU Clock u can reach with 1.130V, depend on model..( just as sidenote, since u not overclock)....

i use EVGA Precision for my card... u can use MSI Afterburner for change voltage, aswell
