Recently, I upgraded my hardware, and I'm trying to reinstall IL2 1946, however upon running the game i get a failure to activate because the activation server is gone.

The best UBI support will do is give me a 20% off coupon, which is essentially asking me to buy the same game from them again! Horrible business and customer support.

Now, it's the principle of the matter, not the $8. How do I know I won't just have to buy it again next year!?

Has anyone here solved this issue? I guess I learned my lesson not to buy from UBI.com anymore.

Be warned, 1C. Your publisher/distributor is not doing you any favors!

Ubi moved the store location some time ago.
A email was sent out asking all who had Il2 from ubi to re-download if you needed it before the store moved as it would not be avail after that. (indeed im not a fan of that move at all)

I have my installation .Exe saved off my CPU, as well as my CloD install and activation Key. I frankly trust myself to store my files. i dont trust Ubi or any 3rd party software seller to (have) my back. I expect them to fail on there end and i work from that ideal. very sorry your having this issue. i hope you in the end store your own install EXE off-computer after re-download to avoid this again.
