Get Windows 7 64 bit a gtx570 or Radeon 6970 and you should be ready to go.

its got to be either your card or your processor speed.
Ive got a very similar setup: P8P67/i7 2600K @ 4.4ghz/GTX 580SC/8 gigs ram.
For me, the game is fluid, beautiful, and nothing short of stunning. Average frame rates flying online are 55+ with vsync on.

Vsync will make your mouse inputs and possibly all inputs delayed, controls might feel mushy.

Try turning it off you will get better preformance plus a more responsive mouse.

Certainly not so in my case. If the game was any more fluid or crisp it would have to act before I put input into it.
Personally I will not play without vsync activated. And it doesn't seem to have any ill effect on gameplay.

+1 for the vidcard and +1 for the os. Btw. I would like to ask the TO which resolution he is running the sim?

I usually played CloD with 1920x1080 with about medium details and encountered stuttering sometimes. Yesterday I switched the resolution to a lower setting, which made my spit looking like a flounder *lol*, but game was very fluid.

Another question concerning the graphics card: I just bought the AMD Saphire radeon HD 6850 1GB. Would it have been better to buy one with more RAM? I think more ram would be nice if you use anti aliasing.

Greetings!

Very enjoyable even with my old rig. For me a great improvement was the OS upgrade at 64bit.
Ciao

Beta? This is still an Alpha.

We hope for a CoD Beta in the next months.

Excuse the dumb question, but I thought the Q6600 was a 775 socket with a pcie1 motherboard (I've got one too). Can you really squeeze a 570 card in there?

Trox, have a look at the optimization thread by Adonis, it helped a lot of people.

I flew an hour yesterday on ATAG. I had 46 fps average and 10 fps min with max settings / original textures at 1920 x 1200. Slight stutter only when I zoomed a Blenheim - sorry Krupi again for overshooting you ... :-) - and clipped her wing. Afterwards I sighted an Hurricane giving a hard time to a Bf at deck, zoomed behind, fired from 100 to 50 m and saw her explode with cannon fire (100% M-Geschoss :D).

Then came back and landed before the usual CTD. A wonderful sim time ...

I'm so sorry that the coding issues prevent a lot of people enjoying such a beautiful sim.

Cheers,
Ins
