Once you go Track, you never go back.

Youre not even playing the game if you don't have trackir...

TIR is very natural to use with this sim.

Azral 11-06-2011 07:11 PM

It might take some time to get used to it.
And yes your Aim may need a reconf.

BUT

After flying with TIR now for 3 years or so, i came to
the old conclusion about TIR and flying games:

I´d rather fly with the crappiest Joystik and TIR than without it !

Same as the others here,I simply wont fly without it anymore, once you get through the initial adjustment (it was about a week till I was fully comfortable with it ) you'll find you can't play ANY flight sim without it,it's really that good.
Highly recommended

It is an awesome tool for sims like this. It will not make you a better pilot, skillwise, but it does take a lot of workload from you just trying to look around and gaining situational awareness.

Keep in mind it also works with other games, such as ARMA, F1 2010 (not sure about 2011, didn't buy it yet) and other racing games and RoF.

I did not have any problems adjusting to it, headmovement and camera/view movement feel very natural, you can adjust the movement to your liking as well.

As for the price of $150.00, yes it is not cheap and there is a different solution out there, but if you are not quite technically inclined, like me go for the Track IR. I was never sorry I spent the money on it. I tried other "look around"-solutions when playing RoF, like mouse look, even an xbox 360 gamepad, hat switch of course, nothing beats looking around hands free without any effort, plus you can map the hat switch now for other functions.

Get it or build a freetrack system if you have the inclination. If you build, make sure you get good quality IR LEDs like the flat-top SFH485P.

Why isn't freetrack discussion allowed? There are FT threads/posts all over this forum.

It's a brilliant piece of equipment. The track clip pro is great for headphones.

Track IR just works without hassel, the softwear is perfect.

A very polished product!

It's a wonderful addition to any sim that supports it and works great for me in Clod. There are alternatives such as face-tracker but I've never tried them.
