Good thread. I noticed Steam doing an update today, but didn't fire up CoD. Thanks for the heads up & response! :)

Just had a STEAM system update. Original COD desktop shortcut now working again. Starts STEAM and then starts CLOD

changelog stated that this problem had been fixed, as it seems that other games were broken too
