the problem is, that the ai doesnt really react different if you move those sliders in the fmb.
even if you make them aces and push all sliders to the right, they will disengage after some seconds and then heading home, completely ignoring that you are on their six.
thats the most annoying thing about the ai in my opinion.if you set up a mission in the fmb, the first 1-2minutes can be fun, but then it gets really quickly completely boring.
in my view cod's ai is far from good.

So you do not agree with the other player's "quote", that the AI is good if you give them ACE high status in the FMB as the COD AI will disengage after a few minutes (which is also what I see in the quick missions.

Is this true for all FMB mission (one-on-1, one-on-2...n)?

Sorry , I do not fiddle with the FMB.

Rowan's Battle of Britain (which is now BOB2 Wings of Victory) was a great game, but I find it to be quite unstable. Crashes a lot for me and I can't figure out why. :( I love the game though. I still have my boxed version of the original release waaay back. If I could resolve the crashing (and I've tried!) I'd play a heck of a lot more of BOB2:WoV.

CloD is more stable actually (for me).

Yes, COD is stable for me as well on my PC and runs very good performance wise but each specific PC environment these days can be different.

BOBII Version 2.11 is very stable for the players that I work with at the BOBII forums. In fact, I am "not" currently working on any reported stablity problems (either players or Beta Testers) on the 2.11 version (which is the latest version).

If you are running version 2.11 and you are interested, I would be happy to try and help you get BOBII running on your PC environment. Just post your crashlog and DxDiag at the BOBII forum for me to review.

Yep, I'm on those forums. I'll look into collecting some crash data tonight. I've been through all the various posts regarding crashes/solutions for problems similar/identical to mine but perhaps there is something 'extra special' about my setup :P

I'll take this over there to the A2A forums. Thanks!

LOL I just reinstalled it (yesterday) for the same bloody reason!!! I actually think the graphics are holding up quite nice.

I got IL2 (the first one) because I am a Plane buff, and I had never heard of it(the plane). I stilll play it cause I get to fly My favorite planes( ME-109G10 and P-38 ). Battle of Britian has bee done to death but when the end result is IL2 1946 With UltraPack, Im willing to wait another 10 years for COD to become what Our Old IL2 has become!
