Cool Boar, good to have you onboard. Basic rules are we run away and try and hide, you try and find us before we get to pottsdam!

Well we now have three hunters confirmed, anyone else for hide and seek?

Questions

Hi Gilly,

A few questions about the mission:
  • MAP YES/NO?
  • Starting game from chat YES/NO
  • Where exactly is Cecilienhof? Can you post a map?
  • What are the exact criteria for mission success for each team?

Thanks,

MAC

Hi Mac,
No worries!
Pottsdam is located to the south west of the Berlin map (just south of the lake type formations)
Allies will land (or hold patterns) at Templehoff. KG200 will head to the east of the map. Upon reaching the limit KG200 will notify allies and the game commences. KG200 will succeed if they reach and successfully attack the Cecilienhoff. Allies win if they manage to destroy KG200 bombers (2) before they carry out the attack. KG200 will have only one life each whereas allies can rejoin the game upon being killed by doing a touch and go at templehoff. We'll use the strike game setup as this will prevent the map being used for long range detection as in DF and TB it will show position of enemy no matter where they are on the map.

Below is intel showing position of target as well as pottsdam.

The baroque palace to the south of the town is also considered as a secondary target as this is where we suspect several leaders and senior figures may be residing.

As for the pregame chat room I'd suggest this is a definate necessity. Hope all of this makes things clearer but let me know if anyone needs anything else.

As I spend most of my time at 15k plus in the game I've got to know most maps by ground recognition- sad really! It's why I'd hope for dynamic weather in the sequel as I can actually navigate by specific cloud formations when it's hazy!!!

As for in real life, I dunno whether the recon Spit colours suit me.....

Thanks Gilly, great recon!

For all the allied pilots:

Please familarize yourself with all the locations Gilly mentioned (Tempelhof, Potsdam) in game.

Hello Gents, I would love to join the Allies. I am coaching a soccer (Football to be pc) Saturday morning and afternoon. Hopefully I will be back in time...you know there are always extraneous factors...overtime, groupies, fisticuffs, etc...I will do my best. Looking forward to it.

I'd like to fly as the Allies for this. Should be able to play at that time.
Any restrictions on aircraft? Could those who are lesser skilled at landing circle the airfield?

Better run a test flight to familiarise myself with the target(s), later on tonight.
