I see the wired boxed issue and the 3 lines

There's a test i did on the new patch

Derinahon 04-09-2011 10:23 PM

After Fridays patch the stuttering became unbearable. Before that I was playing happily, just avoiding built up areas. I have the three blue lines, but the wireframe / box I got rid of by setting AF to 8x. My CCC settings are default otherwise.

It doesn't seem to matter how low or high the in game settings are, FPS is good all round. I play at 1680 x 1050, everything on and high except buildings, buildings amount and forest on medium.

Luckily I had the original steam version in my recycle bin from moving the game folder to my SSD, so I'm playing the beta patch version now! :D

8x AF in catalyst control fixed those annoying black lines on the ocean for me, thanks for the tip

Got pretty decent performance except the stuttering before tectures load fully. Posting my CCC settings below. Would be good to compare and see which ones are "best" for CoD.

FSAA: Application controlled
AF: Application controlled
Tessellation: AMD Optimized
Catalyst AI: High Quality
Surface Optimization: Off
VSync: Quality (Always on)
Antialiasing mode: Adaptive MSAA
Triple Buffer: Off

AMD OverDrive enabled: 900/1400MHz, +15% power

In game I use..

Resolution: 1920x1200 60Hz
Fullscreen: On
Epilepsy filter: Off
FSAA: Off
Other settings: High/max

Tessellation: AMD Optimized <------ The game doesn't run DX11 so you might see some improv by unchecking all tesselation options.

Catalyst AI: High Quality <------ Have you tried setting it to performance?

Just suggesting, I don't have the game installed now, gotta fix up my G940 throttle first. :)

Sorry, i cannot play the game with my rig in medium details!

All of them except that countless bugs and graphical errors are included.

Ok, list ALL your settings in the conf.ini and your drivers etc. There is NO reason why your system should not run this game VERY well right now. I have a similar setup and only have my i5 2500K at 4.2 Gigs and I get 100fps at 1920X1200 with details to HIGH

I'll help you fix yours if you provide the information. First thing I'd do is lower your overclock to more reasonable levels for now. Artifacts can be heat related so controlling that option would make it easier to debug

running a 6870 maxed out over London (except buildings not on unlimited, I'm not suicidal!) and I get small amounts of stutter and avg 35fps. That's pretty darn good for what I get to see.
