I actually pirated the game at first, I was worried that my old computer wouldnt handle it due to all the reports of bad performance.
But when the developers showed that they were very eager to fix the game, i decided to buy it to give them my support.
I will probably get banned for this post, but that is the price of honesty.

Most people who are pirating this game would never have bought the game in the first place so its usually not much loss any way. I know I have gottne pirated games in the past and never really played them. Every game that I really wanted I bought because I knew that was the only way to enjoy it the way it was meant to, especially MP.

I have pirated games in the past, but i dont bother no more, i just buy the games i really wanted to play.

But i have been let down a few times, pre orderd Empire totalwar, and it did not work and took 6 patchs to fix and its still buged. pre orded silent hunter 5 and it was unplayable.

So i pre orderd mafia 2 only for it to have half of its content removed. with a storyline that had been edited by a deranged monkey.

so i pre orded codemasters F1 race sim, only for it to have such huge bugs a deranged monkey with no arms could win a championship in a lotus with 3 wheels. oh and codemaster released one patch that did not work and walked away.

So i can understand why ppl pirate, but i really only play games that are released by paradox or Maddox these days and i not been upset by any of them.

I still would of bought Cliffs of Dover if Oleg just executed my chilrdren

Won't stop publishers sighting this as a reason for the death of PC gaming.

It'd be a real kick in the nuts if the new patch didn't work with the cracked game. Someone pirates the game thinking they have a new sim to fly only to find out its buggy as he!!.

Still personally don't believe many will pirate the sim and cost the devs much. I'd be willing to bet since this is not some twitch shooter very few will actually steal it for themselves especially when comparing it to MOH, Crysis, or Call of Duty numbers and or percentage wise. Flying combat is no easy thing to pick up, and trying it online will be even more humbling.

I have known lots of people over the years that have gotten pirated games in the past and every single one of them rarely even played the games. I think they just like the idea of gettin a hacked game. Most played the game once and then never again. Everything that I ever really wanted I bought becasue I knew I wanted the full unadultered experiance. And if your like myself and really only play multiplayer then you cant usually use a hacked game online.

My daddy always told me that if your gonna sell your soul don't sell it cheap.

Your gonna be a thief and do it for $50?

Pathetic really. If I'm gonna be a thief, its gonna take 7 figures and a sure fire plot for starters. $50? thats just being a whore.

protection with steam is solid, the pirates will not enjoy the game and some have probably been scammed to pay for passwords etc..., no patch will work on a bogus copy that is for sure, in fact the patch will probably cripple their copy of the game...

It's a lot less trouble, a lot more fun and supporting of a great bunch who worked so hard, to simply buy the game ...

I personally don't steal ANY games, CloD isn't an exception (I got my CE today, BTW) and I hate people doing that. And there should be somebody to search for piracy on YouTube and report it to some law organisations made against piracy.

Wrong, protection with steam is not solid, within a couple of days of this game going live a working cracked copy was out on torrent sites, and trust me for every update, there will be a new crack
And a lot of the people that download them, do infact end up buying the game, because as much as you can play single player, you cant play multiplayer
