S!

So I just slap in another 6970HD I have and good to go :) The reviews claimed 6970HD to be hot and noisy as well, but I have NONE of those problems. I play World Of Tanks for a day and temps are max. 63'C and fan speed around 30-35%. Not really hot to me ;) In any game I have played the temps have never gone above 70'C for me. As said, use a GOOD and VENTILATED case that is placed so that airflow is not blocked.

Anyways..waiting more for Bulldozer, some preliminary tests have shown great performance ;)

So a top dual video card may be useless for now...
Since the I7 2600K is the fastest CPU , and costs only $325.00, we may
be quite ok with mid perfomance cards if we get a fast CPU like the I7...
We will know in few hours !

Salute!

The i7 2600k is not the fastest CPU. That would be the following:

i7 995x @ 3.60ghz

fastest at passmark by a hair, but you do realize there are other benchmarks where it's not faster, right? Like any benchmark that's not heavily threaded...

Oh, and good luck finding a 995X, and since you have more money than brains, have fun spending about 4x what the 2600K cost.

We'll stick with what he specifically stated. Not what's the wisest choice dollar for dollar. Fastest it's not. Even when it might be by just a hair. No problem on my end finding a 995x....readily available where I'm at.
