that's what they did in top gun...right? actually it was dump the gas, slap the flaps, nose up slightly ... then reverse it and FIRE...FAST :grin:

If you haven't had BOP that long then you are going to get killed by the more experienced players irrespective of what you fly. Even if you outurn your opponent there are others waiting to pounce and not necessarily on your six either. No substitute for flying regularly so enjoy and, in realistic/Arcade, you have an advertising/target hoarding slapped over your ac so be prepared to get killed more frequently than in SIM!

lol I try that as a last resort. Hardly ever works. If you do manage to survive the lasers, you usually end up with the bandit ramming you up the arse for the kill. :eek:

Ah slam the brakes on. I love it when it does work, especially if you can time a roll at the point your opponent gets close. A lovely rolling arc then full guns.

I forgot to add earlier all my comments relate to arcade and realistic. For sim my advice is simple. Lean forward and kiss your ass goodbye
