Seriously, AI don't really pull that much G's, I let the Ace BnZ me and it was flying gentler than humans were in 4.09, it has slight advantage in 4.10 but nothing that would justify spending PC power on it. If anything, pulling too many G's is hurting AI in combat, with some changes in AI flying routines that will be done in 4.11, "problem" with overloading will disappear. FC |
109 wings are suppose to be able to take 13 Gs. I think a lot of this weak wing talk goes a little too far. It started during the Battle Of Britain when the English found out that 109s had one big wing spar instead of two smaller ones. These wings are sure to fly off!! I think the wings on a 51 should fly off at the same time as a G 10s.

I'm amazed at how quickly people can jump to conclusions in this and other threads based on very little evidence. Quite often it seems to come down to a gripe about their personal favourite plane not performing as well as they think it should - forget about evidence or anything inconvenient like that. The first post in this thead is a case in point - if you had taken the time to even work out which version of the game was actually running...?! before jumping to conclusions. |
I suggesty you to try to pull 8G in 109! Elevator becomes very heavy at high speeds. Hehehe...

I have a book about JG 26. A young pilot named George Genth gets into trouble with his 109 K4 with ice on the canopy. He gets disoriented and the 109 goes into a dive. The last speed he saw was 750 kms. He finally got his bearings at 1600 meters when the ice thawed. He pulled out around 200 meters. He didn't say anything about the wings or being worried about them flying off.
Here it is again read the....Diving - structural rigidity of 109 in dives..This has to have some truth to it because these men flew them. http://www.virtualpilots.fi/feature/articles/109myths/ |

That's a good way to look at it as long as you don't pizza yourself onto the ground. One more thing. Never watch programs on the History Channel about WWII aircraft. They post up the speeds of a 51 D 437 mph and then for the 109 they'll put up either the speed of an Emil or if your lucky a dogie G6. Never a G10 or god forbid a K4 witch would be a few mph faster than the 51. If you don't know anything about aeroplanes you'll think by the time the shows over the German planes should have been ground up for toys and not even been used.
