You should look into the Hyperlobby

It also would be nice to not show points, less airkill stealers

Aah, thanks Qpassa. Will be joining soon.

If those maps weren't that huge, maybe I'd go there more often.

thier not huge, learn to navigate... there's only maybe 10-15 targets per map, all you gotta do is fly to one and wait... the enemy will come to you.

Flew there yesterday, fair bit of shoulder shooting, but thats fairly normal in D/F servers.
Got kicked back to desktop after 3 sorties :(

I like to fly there, but some of the server settings for "team killing" need work.

I got rammed by a friendly the other day, the server dinked me for a team kill (I was flying straight and level and a friendly zoomed down on to me) and I got kicked.

It's annoying stuff like that, and all the shoulder shooters, that keep me from flying there all the time.

On behalf of the admins and mapmakers of Spits vs 109s, thanks for the kind words!

The 410 patch has been very popular and we are all working hard to keep a supply of new maps coming. All maps have missions to accomplish as a team, they aren't just a dogfight, so please read the brief as it's much more fun if you know what's going on.

Please also be tolerant of the many new players we are seeing since 410 came out - it will take a week or two for them to learn the rules, and we are 'helping' them with that. More info at the forums (link below).

Well...if you think twice, then its not a problem of the server. Shoulder-shouting, ok... but you can take influence on this by talking to such guys (obviously they lack in experience).

Team killing problems is not set by the server. The situation, that you mentioned is caused by the game/net, which is not knowing, who of you did the error (the game has no morality AI). In most cases it depends on network connection (the first to be recognised by the server as killed, must then be the victim). Maybe its more complicated, I'm not that deep into that topic, but in the end, it can't be helped. On the other side, you don't want to have team killing penalties completely off, because some shortminded people could misuse that.

The only thing you can do, is being carefull and understanding.
As hey! It happend in RL too and one hardly could ever join again like that. ;)

I always had the impression that the game would fault the one who was going the fastest upon impact? That would be correct in most situations.

When the speeds are close, the player making the "wildest" stick inputs would cover the other part of the bell-curve.

All very true. I'm sure I was faster as I was trimmed out flying level at a high power setting and the other pilot was jinking all over the place, but I was still alive after the collision and he was flaming wreckage.

Still fun though. And it's always good to be there because there are real goals to meet, not just mindless aerial combat.
