Alpha,

thanks for the lead on the serial number. Now I'm on my larger screen PC I can see it's N2040, I was reading W8040 8-(

This website claims is was received by the Royal Saudi Air Force as N2040, but not the date.

I see it as :

"N2040

19? The aircraft was received by the Royal Air Force as N2040"


You must have strained your eyes googling :)

Right, the owner of the Harvard has got in touch and I am sending him a higher res scan of the photo in a couple of days. I also got this reply that I hope he does not mind me repeating here;
