It was not. Most people said, that it's done when it's done and that there was no official announcement.

On the other hand, what got you almost banned was not the message that it will be delayed, but the fact that you and others insisted on estimates being a holy promise and took it as a personal insult that nobody would give a definite date and nobody excused himself personally for the delay. And let's not forget the hundreds of messages claiming that they could work this project out a LOT better than Oleg himself.

So let's not compare apples and oranges (again).

Yeah you got a good point there Feuerfalke, I guess we should have learnt many years ago that any release date Oleg mentions should bot be taken seriously. So which month in 2011 do we think? Im going for September.

The last developer suggested release date is sometime this fall. Oleg recently stated things are going good but not perfect, which suggests further delays. Anyone with a modicum of common sense realizes there are always delays in projects this complicated and will cut the developer some slack. Some will see every hoped for release date as a promise and vent their displeasure. Most will just wait and see.
