I won't have a problem if DX rendering is equal between the two GPU houses. No problem at all. IN fact that makes it seem a bit easier. Given relative performance I can go for what fits my budget. Presto!! I'm done. :D

The point being that's water 3 on an 9800GTX+

I've not seen ATI get close to the animation yet.

SoW is DirectX 11 so this OpenGL thing is a blast from the past :)

I have tried from a 4850 and from this card up through the 5xxx series the water gets no better and is no where near Nv water 3/4

Well Alpha, except Tesselation performance Fermi has in DirectX 11 nVidia does NOTHING better than ATI so maybe you should drop it. ATI has good DirectX 11 support. In the old gfx engine in IL-2 running Perfect/OpenGL nVidia is better now, shall see what the drivers will do ATI are working on.

What are you on about ?

Were talking about water 2/3 etc

Obviously Dx is different from OGL instructions for animated water shaders, there are none in IL21946 for Dx

You need to calm down.
