Maybe?

but if its a chase then you would have to time your shot well, so you would have to fire ahead of them for the explosion to be underneath them. To get this shot off all depends on the angle of attack i guess and height...

May try later and see how i fare.

My funniest Kill so far was with a HE-111 Bomber across Dover.
I came right in the midle of a pack of Bomber and i was coverd so much coverd in tracers and Bullets that you'd could walk on it!
creeped up close righ on a Bombers Arse and fired all i had and shot off it's Wings. No Flames or anythin, Just shot off it's wings, I got the Hell outta there, sinds my wings looked like Swiss Cheese, and saw i fall down like a Brick from 20.000 Feet.

that was amazing!

Yes, coming in at a 90 degree angle is the best but takes skill I am yet to master so I end up at the tail. From here I normally dive to get underneath him because I would imagine the other player's view to be obscured by his own aircraft so I end up attacking from below. I don't know a great deal about aerial combat and this approach makes me feel like a bit of a noob which I guess I am when it comes to flying/simulation games. Still, practise makes perfect and thanks for the advice, always appreciated.

I was wondering though, if your chasing someone very low over the ground, and you fire a rocket at the ground right beneath them, might the impact be able to take them down?

Negative sir..

But the two 100kg bombs from my IL-10 send their best regards (And explosions) to any low level fliers that try to come under my belly. They compliment the rockets quite nicely.

I had just pulled out of a dive in my Stuka D-3 and was pretty much as slow as you can get when a Spit flew right past me. I hit the trigger on instinct and down he went. In fairness he was damaged, trailing white smoke. Sorry if I accidently stole somone's kill. Another fun one was one the other guy won. On a strike mission me in my Stuka B and a fellow in a IL-2 got into a dog fight. Picture two turtles trying to mate and you get the idea. (Thinks of Comcast comercial with turtles and falls out of chair Laughing):lol::lol:

I once hit a BF-109 with a rocket from over 1,000ft away. My cousin didnt think it would hit it, but when it exploded, he couldn't stop asking me how I knew exactly when to fire.

I've also destroyed bombers with bombs. It's a bit tricky to do, but if you fly a couple hundred feet above and in front of them, you just release a bomb or two, and BOOOM!!!!

I've also gotten a BF-109 to kamikazi into a primary ground target during a dogfight. Well I guess it wouldnt be a kamikazi since I killed the pilot and his plane just fell to the ground, but when it hit the ground, it hit one of the tanks I had to destroy.

This happens alot, but I love killing Nazi's by dogfighting at tree top level, and gettting them to stay right on my six, then tilting my plane to avoid a tree, and those retarded Germans always smack into or clip their wing on the tree and die.
