G'day Xilon_x

Please don't get me wrong, I was not saying that you or anyone else for that matter should not post your requests to correct error in models etc, if they are valid then all the better, I was merely pointing out that maybe they belong in the appropriate thread, so DT can hopefully find them easier. At the same time I do agree that there is a need for DT to be informed of potential errors on items they are posting in their updates.

However if the patch is as near to release as I suspect (or should I say hope) then any major modifications may need to be addressed in following patches, which is where the bug and requests threads make the contribution.

Is that the same reason for the A5M,I-16 and P-26 not having closed cockpits?

And as Xilon said,it would be a dream to have Aquila and Graf Zeppelin with proper planes in IL2...but that´s rather a dream, not a possibility.

Xilon_x 11-12-2010 01:06 AM

yes yes bf-110 if developed carrier Aquila and Graf Zeppelin we canche the course of ww2 story not possible.
but in ww2 another tipe of carrier in europe reall exist.and are operative.

Yep, especially considering the "proper" planes would be the Messerschmitt bf155 (basically a 109G with folding wings) and the torpedo equipped ju87D. The 155 never got even as far as a prototype.

The Fieseler Fi 167 and 109T people talk so much about were obsolete well before 1942/1943 so they would be totally inappropriate for the period when the historical Graf Zepplin was expected to be complete.

Please continue this discussion/request in the appropriate thread. This one's for TD patch updates only.

Thank you.

Xilon_x 11-12-2010 09:53 AM

ok wat do you want call new apropiate Tread?
Bug of il-2 sturmovik?

ElAurens 11-12-2010 11:41 AM

The Graf Zeppelin would have lasted about a week in combat service.

The Germans had no clue about how to operate an aircraft carrier, the types of aircraft necessary to survive a life at sea, or even a clue what a proper surface navy should be.

Now on to what this thread is supposed to be about.

That carrier was meant to serve a sea based recon station(hence the huge guns and armor) - you can't compare it to US or Nippon carriers.;)

I understand it's purpose, but my statement still stands.

One ship is a meaningless gesture. It would have been the prime target of the Royal Navy, and USN as well.

The Bismarck and Yamato had big guns and plenty of armor, for all the good it did them.

One week, then a permanent ticket to Davy Jones' Locker.

Be sure.

Oh boy, is there a pill against ignorance?
