Speaking of Saitek: As I have two of those x52-bastards, I decided to disassemble one throttle. Those potis inside look rather cheap and the spiking annoys the hell out of me.
Now, the question is:
Are they available in higher quality, if so, where can I get them and finally: will they be compatible with the saitek software/PCB?
Thx.

My X52 Pro had hall sensors, not potentiometers (and still not impressed with it). Does the non-pro version use pots? Surprising.

the pots are in the throttle, all x52 (pro and not) have hall sensor in the stick

Ah, thanks.

Well..the new engine/fix will be here when its here, and thats really all there is to it. My only concern..will not a "new" graphics engine bring with it potentially an entire "new" set of issues and problems? I'm not sophisticated enough to know how these engines work, however, I have to believe an entire reinventing of the wheel so to speak of the graphics engine will inevitably involve a whole new set of issues...I could be totally wrong..off base. I'm glad we are kept "in the loop" ...Im just wondering why all these issues were not apparent in the testing of the graphic engine as it exists now...and why it took "the community" to test drive this current engine on....will be be "test driving" the new engine, or is there some sort of reasonable certainty that the new engine will perform quite up to par.
Just some thoughts...these games are not cheap, and the current economy does not lend itself well to buying as often as before. The only saving grace is..by the time the new engine is up to speed and hopefully fairly bug free..I'll have moved up to a new generation of graphics cards..with more vram and power...more than likely the gtx 580 with 3gigs vram..unless nvidia unleashes a whole new beast.

Any word on whether Battle of Moscow is in development or delayed?

... who cares, they should rather get this one first fixed, it is still not at the point where I would say it`s enjoyable, sorry.

But still, thanks Luthier for the update.

Thanks Ilya I'm glad you are still alive and kicking! PLEASE bring back the reflective paint in the new graphics engine

First things first, Although I believe that this particular and other image effects contribute to the immersion of the flying experience it, is far more important tho look at the graphic engine in terms of performance/stability rather to it's contents in terms of effects. There are several issues far more important to deal in the mean time. e.g. performance/stability increase, buildings poping/disappearing and sluggish smoothness flying low over villages/cities, lack of AA, shimmering shadows and of course those annoying lines on the horizon AMD users are experiencing.

After getting a bullet prof graphic engine, then "we" can start worrying about puting it more realistic/beautiful to our eyes.

Regards.
