Indeed, BoB2 is not just strategic. One can easily join a squadron, and participate in just that squadron's exploits. The campaign will follow historical events, but it's dynamic, so hugely reliant on the battle going on around. I personally have never had a better sim experience, and last summer, a few of us on simHQ did a day-by-day historical recreation of the BoB by posting daily AR's. It was interesting to compare eachother's, and they're well worth a read over there, as there are some awesome story lines which went on or (in my case) fizzled out...

Happy V-E Day to you and all the 1C team.
The prospect of flying the iL2 and the later series of i-16 in the new format is something to look foreward to. Keep up the good work on getting COD sorted and please take no notice of the whindgers ,I expect when they were little their Moms spoilt them just to stop them grizzeling all the time :) |

Regarding the Eastern Front, i'm quite happy to see it redone with next-gen cockpits, etc. Personally I'd prefer it to the Med, though I have to say the Med would be a comparatively easy add-on for the dev team. Anyway, good to see that plans for the future are in hand. |

I'm starting to think there is a problem with AAguns on moving objects. This would stop the release of war ships. :( I would like to see the Med too. But I wonder if this platform can cope with it's map size. Having worked on the Med in CFS3 I know how big it is. However I would be pleased to see it and may be get to fly that Wellington which was used a lot in Africa and the Med. Still come on guys let use know how we are going with the fixes and if we will see any more ships from you. |
All these babies need feeding. You're never finished feeding. Whack-a-mole sort of thing.

The whole team deserves a holiday. Great of you guys to work on that patch instead of taking a rest, that's dedication to a measure which is rare in this market.
The new screenies are very promising - I also love the IL-2. I will never forget the first time I started up the original IL-2 sim. It wasn't flawless but boy id it beat everything else... The same will happen with CoD; patches will remedy some of the first issues. Then we will see a constant tide of updates. The sim obviously having a long development future, it will not get the usual (IL-2) framerates but hey! this thing is being developed for the future and it won't be long until we get more goodies. We know all that, right? So why don't we give our favo development team a break? [patient mode] |
Good luck with the new project. Any project would displease some people, especially in this market.
I appreciate the gesture of sharing exciting news with other fans. Others less so, it seems. |
