Hmmm, i think people are getting ahead of themselves, no Fw's or La's involved in the battle of Moscow.............

We want to show one more Soviet plane. Also, maybe show a German plane. Or we'll move it to the next update, it's not yet decided.

Oh please, don't overwhelm us...

I think La-5 is not for BoM but for BoS as they first appeared in Stalingrad. However it might be also a joint 1941-1942 project from Moscow till Stalingrad.

Are you refereing to the 2nd photo in this post? http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showpos...81&postcount=1

That's the one.

And was the reason I was hoping for a 190, but it looks like we will have to wait a bit longer

Actually if nobody was working on a Fw 190 then the La-5 would be just as odd since, IIRC, it made its combat debut over Stalingrad and Moscow in mid to late August 1942, about two or three weeks before I./JG 51 returned to Lyuban with its Fw 190s.

I have to admit that it looks very much like the engine section of a La-5. My guess would be that they are working on the model for the LaGG-3 and La-5 at the same time because of the similarities to ensure that the rest of the model fits for both types.

Yes.

If it is a joint 1941-42 project FW-190 may also be included. Looking forward to flying it.

I am 100% sure they will not do that. In the end they will use the same fail approach of having different modellers building related planes from different plans and at different scales as in IL-2.

And yes, I know what I am talking abou having build the Spitfire XIV for the IL-2 modding community on the basis of the ingame VIII. In that process I compared all Spitfires and they are a mess.

It might also be a case that the same modeller will start working on a 190 as soon as La-5 is more or less finalised, or maybe they already started but not ready to show work not ready to be shown.

Same thing that happened to RoF, look for "knights of the sky" (the original name) and you will find loads of models of aicraft that are not released or have only just being sold.

Pretty sure the models were not finished or just not up to scratch :(
