Big news guys! The official release of the 10.3 drivers from ATI list the text corruption issue in IL-2 as a known issue!
https://docs.google.com/viewer?url=h...ease_notes.pdf This is fantastic because listing it as a known issue is the first step towards having the problem resolved. Nice work everyone letting ATI know this is a problem! I now look forward to the 10.4 release :) |
I hope they could fix it !!!!!

The list is not prioritized guys. Stuff is simply added as they get it.
It is definately a huge step forward that it is being noted. Now we just have to be patient and wait. |
Yeah I'm hoping this gets fixed as well. Glad they are aware of the problems... We will wait and see.

Hey Stubs, long time no see man.....I finally got a new rig. Not the bohemoth you are using but a big increase over the old rig.
AMD 955BE/HIS HD 5770/ 4gb PC1600 DDR3/Gigabyte GA-790XTA-UD4 Mobo, Blah, blah, blah.... |
Has anybody got any idea on how to install Catalyst from a command line? Surely you don't HAVE to use the installer.....
I am building a new system after my one short-circuited itself. The new video card is a Sapphire HD 5770. The Catalyst installer that came on the disk (v 9.11), completely freezes my system, as does the newer version downloaded from ATI (v 10.3) ..... All I can do is let Windows XP pull the basic display drivers off the disk, which normally would be fine but I need Catalyst to do this work around for IL-2 (I think). |
I solved all problem with catalist and ati videocard:
1 Simply put "atialogxx.dll" from Ati catalist hotfix 9.10 into IL-2 fodler 2 Open IL-2 Setup and seto OpenGL And in video option Disable: Use vertex Array, Vertex array Extension 3 Open conf.ini and in Opengl option set: VideoSetupId=15 4 Use the follow option for opengl: TexFlags.TexEnvCombine4NV=0 TexFlags.TexEnvCombineDot3=1 TexFlags.DepthClampNV=0 TexFlags.SeparateSpecular=1 TexFlags.TextureShaderNV=0 5 IMPORTANT DONT USE PERFECT IN LANDSCAPE! |
10.3 have been released but text corruption it is still there.
WTF? |
