Good find. I am probably going to pick one up but I need to know if the Hat switch issues will be resolved.

How do you issue orders with a single button?
How do you issue orders with a single button?
Exactly what I was about to ask.
Nice find by the way, very useful :) I wrote down all the functions on a piece of paper and basically had what what is shown, but thought there was no way to give flight orders, assuming Triangle did nothing. With the 2nd setup, the flight orders are all seperate buttons, but it leaves no room for the zoom feature.
Will go have a play and see if i can figure out how to give orders with this setup. If it does, we just need the hat switch to work fully, and less of a dead zone on the stick and throttle control and we are sorted :D
edit:
As I expected, hold down the Orders button and use the hat switch to assign orders... sweet :)

I got my T.Master HOTAS last week, I have found no problems with the hat switch.

The hat switch current only lets you look at 4 fixed positions, over each wing, above you and down into the cockpit.. nowhere near the coverage you get with an analogue view function. The hatswitch does have 8 positions, so ideally you should be able to see more with it, and sim mode really needs it.

Thank you for figuring that out and posting it.

I've posted this elsewhere but i bought my HOTAS X today and i could have sworn i looked at approx. 1 and 11'o clock...It wasn't always very fluid, and had springback but yeah,my freelook view was broader than just over the wings and up..(no six though, that's true...)
Is my Thrustmaster magically enhanced or something ? I've played on setup 2 for T-master,but yeah,it must be some voodoo or something?
Can you get it to hold at 1 or 11 o'clock? Or is it just where it's pinging from normal view to 3 or 6 and back. I've not heard of anyone that hasn't had the same hat switch problems with the hotas than I have described.

There is one mistake, but it's pretty much spot on. For realistic the setup is spot on, however for Sim mode the Zoom function (R2) remains as Zoom, and its actually the Target Camera button (L1) that becomes the Flaps control.

Ok, i've tried the hatswitch and unfortunately i was wrong..It doesn't allow you to hold it at say 1 o'clock..my bad! Sorry for any misinformation.
Thing is: I don't actually have a problem with the hatswichts as is,since it slowly travels to the 3 and 9 positions,so if there's a bogey on 1 o'clock, you could easily spot him..
Does anyone know where the zoom function is on T master set up two? I've tried R3,and L2 and R2. I think i've read somewhere that R3 is the button for bombs in the full game? Is there a zoom function (i don't mean target cam) at all on this set up?
Also,is T master set up 1 designed for the stick without HOTAS or does it remap your buttons? English isn't my first language so sorry if it isn't too clear what i mean...

Some questions for the techno boys among us.
Has anyone found the optimum in game settings for the the T.Master yet? such as elevator sensitivity settings etc.
What differences the two in game set up options offers, and is one of them better suited to realistic & sim?
And a button map that we can all adopt as a default.
