Whether this has been asked or not, I don't know, but it matters to me. What are the correct throttle settings for both the Spitfire and Mustang (D model) in realistic and sim for cruise? What is the maneuvering speed? Then perhaps my most important question, how long can you run in WEP before you overheat the engine?
In the Spitfire I am always in cockpit, and run just under the boost redline, what I would guess is combat throttle. It seems to be 88-90%. Still, I can't seem to get the kind of speed that the Spit is perfectly capable of doing on normal cruise settings without burning up WEP and killing the engine. Being a pilot in my actual life, it's kinda disturbing to me that I can't seem to find the right throttle setting. I use the Ace Edge stick, so I can get the throttle to a very precise point, just wondering what it is that I'm missing here?
