I play on a PS3 but everytime I turn it off only to go back the next day and play I have to go through the tutorials all over again as the fact that I've unlocked Realistic and Simulation does not seem to save. Is there a step I'm missing to save the fact that I've done the tutorial??? I wondered if there wasn't an issue with my system but then a buddy of mine happened to randomly mention that this happens to him as well...

Yeah I don't think any info is saved, I guess so it doesn't clutter your PS3 or interfere with the full game. I often find demos don't let you save.

You can just do the last training mission (the balloon shoot) to unlock sim. I can almost do it with my eyes closed now.

This is how all demos work. I've never had a demo that saves settings.

Shitty. As you can tell I don't download a lot of demo's... Thanks for the tip on doing the last mission.

That's what I thought at first too, I always played through the Dover mission on Arcade first because I thought that was the only way to unlock the other difficulties. I didn't know until a week ago when I was reading this forum I only had to do the last training!

Anton did say we are not able to save our progress on the demo. So you're gonna have to put up with the third tutuorial mission.

I'm pretty sure that for Microsoft, it's a stated policy that a demo is not allowed to save any state onto storage.

I'm not sure if Sony has a similar policy (though I can't offhand think of any PS3 demo that did save anything) but even if it didn't, most developers would probably have pretty much the same demo code on both platforms, and hence Microsoft's policy may even be to blame for the PS3 demo not saving either.

I'm pretty positive demos can save just on one reason. If you download a PSN game say, Bomberman ULTRA, you download the demo and you download a 10 kb file that unlocks the demo into the full game.
