The 86th IAS is looking to partner with a european squadron. This will be a good opertunity for a building squadron to gain new members. Basicly, a squadron would retain it's sovereignty, but adopt our bylaws and name. Below is a list of details and how it will work.

The 86th IAS is an american squadron, and most of our events are held at night. Our official time zone is GMT-6 / CST (GMT-5 / CDT). As one might see our friends across the pond do not have many opportunities to meet up with us. To remedy this, we are considering the reinstatement of our Euro Detachment. This will allow comprehensive training on both sides of the sea, allowing the 86th to be a formidable force around the world.

The 86th IAS European Detachment follows the same rules and bylaws as the rest of the 86th. A copy of which can be viewed HERE (http://s1.zetaboards.com/86thIAS/topic/116604/1/#new)

All squadrons applying for continuity must meet the following criteria:

1. Squadron Commanders must be willing to communicate with the 86th IAS staff on a minimum of a bi-weekly basis. (about 15 minutes ever other week)

2. Appying squadrons must adapt the following in full:

a. 86th IAS prefix and squadron designation
b. 86th IAS Chain of Command structure
c. 86th IAS Combat Advisory Council and it's bylaws
d. 86th IAS mascot and squadron badge.
e. 86th IAS tactical training program.

3.Squadrons may retain thier original:

a. Motto and Colors
b. Leadership posistions*
c. Member count and status*
d. Practice shcedule and nominal flight hours

4. Squadron must have at least 4 active members (C.O. included). All squadron members must register at 86th IAS H.Q.

* Titles may be changed, but status will remain the same.
