Someone please confirm US release date

I saw a thread about this but there was never a definitive answer. It is driving me mad!

Will someone please confirm the US release date. So far I have heard 9/7, 9/8, 9/9, and 9/15

When I preordered it from Gamestop the other day the guy said 9/8.

But when I asked him about the free shirt for the preorder, he went into the back as if he thought that they should have it already.

So who knows?

The release date is Sept 8th, but depending on where you live you will be able to get the game on either Sept 8th or Sept 9th. If you buy new games you should already know weather the stores where you live will get the game in on the 8th or the 9th.

Does your stores usually get new games in on Tuesday or Wednesday(don't include street dated games which are the exception). If Tuesday then you will be able to get the game on Sept 8th. If Wednesday then Sept 9th.

The stores where I live usually get games in on Wednesday mornings so I won't be able to get the game til Sept 9th.

Most games are sold as soon as they arrive at the store. Only street dated games are held(street dated games are almost always real big games like Madden, Halo, GTA, and ect), but for games like this they are sold as soon they arrive at the store, and simply dpends on weather the stores where live usually gets games in on Tuesday or Wednesday

this is the most confusing release ever i keep seeing diff dates on diff sites, can anyone that actually works for 1c confirm real date???? i was thinking about preordering but dunno if i wanna now cuz if i order to late i wont get it launch date i think i might just wait till 8th and if its not out then im waiting to 15th.........:confused::confused::confused::confus ed::confused::confused::confused::confused::confus ed::confused::confused:

Sadly trk, even that isn't definitive. We know the game doesn't come out the same date everywhere and that post doesn't specify any region.
They have approached this game with the UK release date as their "default" without adding that the US release is a week later (or some kind of gap like that). They aren't adding proper information: with UK release _____, US _____, Australia _____. I believe these each have different dates.

For the US, we don't know much. The date that seems most solid is shipping on the 15th, but a while back Gamestop bumped up their date from 15th to the 8th. Amazon hasn't, Gamefly hasn't made a similar change (they usually run a day behind store releases)...just Gamestop. Gamestop dates are hardly reliable, but when they go from an accepted, correct date like everyone else and move it *forward*, that does stand out as odd.

And none of those dates falls in that announcement trk referenced:
"IL-2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey will be available from 4th September for Xbox 360, PS3, Nintendo DS and PSP."

So now we have the 4th (note that they didn't specify a region like they should), the 8th and the 15th. They say "from 4th", not "on" the 4th. As in the first release region gets it on the 4th and everyone else...well...some time after that. Still we know nothing--not even which region gets it on the 4th. LOL

Getting an OFFICIAL answer with dates specifying regions is called for here. People on this forum cover the globe and we seem to only get info for one region and have to sort the rest out for ourselves. It's mighty annoying to find all this contradictory information out there.

thanks for the good intentions :) , but I had already given this a read:(. Like Raw said, the 4th date is for Europe, not US. I have yet to find a definitive answer but SOMEONE has to know...any gamestop/EBgames employees out there?

The official release date for US market is moved to 8th September!!!
