We don't know the system requirements yet. If we expect SoW to look that good, then we probably don't expect to be able to run it in all it's glory for about three years! You know how "he" is. :D Oh wait. I could be wrong. I should be optimistic that when SoW comes out it will look as good as what your link shows. Here's hoping

In Oleg's last interview he stated that SOW was 80% complete and that was some months ago, he also said in a follow up thread at SIMHQ that we will see in game shots from September, so this time next month we should see SOW in all its glory and hopefully get some system spec's too.

If you saw the 1968 Lee Marvin movie, Hell in the Pacific You'll be familiar with the story in this one. A pity to see it ripped off so shamelessly... Bitter rivals thrown together in the steaming jungles of Ireland learn and share and grow and get to have a big "what are we fighting for?" moment at the end.

Are these the same steaming jungles in Ireland that they had to strip mine to get Guinness?

Guinness strip mining was outlawed due to the damage to the steaming Irish jungles so the miners shamelessly hunted the Haggis into extinction in Ireland, its now only found in remote parts of Scotland's steaming jungles.

There were spitfires Mk.Ibs with 2x Hispano 20mm cannons and 2x or 4x Browning 7.69mm (.303 cal.). But I believe they have used Mk.Vb with Mk.I paintscheme.

Is it even a whole movie? it seems like a movie preview with no actual completed movie...maybe they are trying to get money to finish the project.
The stills, the production shots, everything is seen in the trailer...

One wonders how a 109 should have the range to be in the skies of steamy Ireland in the first place, let alone be shot down by a Spitfire from the future...

I was attacked by a Haggis a long time ago. (Scottish not Irish!) It was a big, nasty brute and went for the throat!
But I digress, As long as the cannons jam, I don't see a problem. I can't remember the name of the film it but I remember early post war British film where they were flying Bubble Canopy Mk21's in the first few years of the war. (I guess they asked for spitfires for the film for props and they gave them the only one's going at the time!)
I'm not too worried about little details like that. It is after all a dramatic work. We can just sit back with a knowing smile on out faces when we spot details like that!
Cheers!

Don't worry, it can even be worse... French serie from 2009, 1st episode, a german plane strafe a column of kids in a field with MGs and cannon...
Except the 109 in question was a DR400 with german paintings... Ridiculous. With the cannon firing through the engine mounting... Good for what's supposed to be a 109E...

The germans did strafe civilians in France during the battle of France. But it was refugees columns on roads that were aimed. This was supposed to cause panic and havoc and slow down the french army capacity to circulate and reorganize. It worked well...
In this serie, the kids are playing in a field miles away from any road or military target. This is what was so crappy in the episode. I stopped watching it 10 minutes later because the nonsense kept increasing every minute.
An what French series would it be?

Strafing civilians was not uncommon to allied and axis.
Hurricanes and Blenhiems strafed anything that moved in the Western Desert campaign.

The series is called "un village français".
I know both sides attacked civilians during the war, I wasn't supposing only the germans did.
However, in June 40 it was something new for the french people, given the fact that the population was used to be relatively spared (meaning not being attacked deliberately) during the last two conflicts we had with the germans in 1870 and 1914-1918.
Given the fact that there was also very little population in the desert, I can understand why the RAF straffed columns though.
