Landing Gear Failure?

Just thought that it would be really cool if your landing gear could fail, you would then HAVE to perform a belly landing. What do you guys think?:-P

i managed to pull one off today on a field during the Red Cliffs Of Dover Mission, i was on simulator setting, with a gaping whole on my left wing causing me to slump to one side. The plane was loosing fuel, so i thought i might as well try :). the only thing that went wrong was that my propeller broke :L. You just have to keep enough speed so that you aren't dropping rapidly and then skim the ground carefully to stop :)

Was there fuel spraying from your wing? And was your fuel gauge dropping?

fuel was spraying from my wing, but i didn't check the gauge, i could feel the plane dropping though. I reckon that i should make a video of a belly landing to show you guys :)

I didn't know fuel would spray, it would also be cool if the gauge did indeed drop.

Unlimited fuel in demo dude, your engine was probs just broken aswell :)

I don't know if your landing gear can fail, but I know you can break them off if you hit the ground while they are coming out(that's if you wish to keep flying without landing gear).

I don't know if your landing gear can fail, but I know you can break them off if you hit the ground while they are coming out(that's if you wish to keep flying without landing gear).

yeah that would be good with that music. expect a video up by tomorrow afternoon, this side of the atlantic guys! oh and yeah, i did once break my landing gear :)

I absoultly love the first video. Something about it. If only there was a way to remove the continue timer, then it would be even more perfect. :mrgreen:
