Hi folks,
we have a big problem: We had an Il-2 1946 Dedicated Server running on a Windows 2003-Rootserver without any problems. It has seen all stages: 4.07, 4.08, 4.09beta and finally a certain...'unofficial improvement'. Never made any serious problems.
A few weeks ago we upgraded our Rootserver to a new faster and sexier machine to minimize the lags (not the LaGGs) in the game. The main difference apart from a few GB RAM: It's a Windows 2008-Server (Vista-like). And since this change our Il-2-Server does behave rather strange: Every other day, sometimes every day, sometimes twice a day (the frequency seems to depend on the number of players on the server) joining the server becomes impossible. People who want to join get this message after having logged in and downloaded and loaded the mission, but before getting in the menue:
Mission loading error: Index: 1090 Size: 1090
(other numbers are possible, we have also seen 474 and 1316)
Looking in the console respectively the logs.lst, there are countless (literally!) of these messages (examples):
[8:14:31 PM] at com.maddox.rts.Message.sendTo(Message.java:1134)
[8:14:31 PM] at com.maddox.rts.Message.trySend(Message.java:1115)

[8:14:31 PM] at com.maddox.rts.Message._send(Message.java:1217)
And so on and on and on and on...several of these messages per second, as you can see.
We don't know what to do any more, our only hope is to reinstall the whole thing through all stages and look if the error will show up if, for example, the server runs on 4.08 only. But this will take a lot of time and doesn't guarantee that it will work properly afterwards.
Remember, the very same server did work without any changes on our old Root-Server!
So it's my hope that perhaps someone of you has an idea that could help us?
That would be great.
Thanks in advance.
