I have come accross a website in the States that sell add ons for IL-2.

However, I reside in the UK & they don't ship to the UK.

Can anyone help out by ordering these add ons & then shipping them on to me in the UK?

If you have a PayPal account it would make it easier for me to make payment.

Please send me a Private Message if you can help.

Thanks

Fergal mate, what you need is "IL2-1946 the complete edition" which you can get for very little (around 10 quid or less) on the likes of Amazon, Play.com etc, have a look around. You will not need any more addons, but will need to patch this version to 4.08m or the 4.09 beta patch, which is what most people are using. No need to buy things like "Pacific fighters" and "Forgetten battles" etc which you may be thinking of, as everything is on the 1946 disc. Hope this helps.

I use 1946, but if you check out my other post entitled Add Ons you will see that I have found some unofficial add ons for IL2, some I have, others I am trying to obtain

Ah right fergal, I thought you may have been new to the game, and just bought the original IL-2....got you now. I have the "Aces expansions pack" myself out of that list, and I ordered it from Amazon I think....Long time ago now, hard to remember. I definitely didn't have to order from overseas, but things may have changed. I don't really bother with them now because there are enough free community made campaigns which are just as good, if not better in my opinion on the likes of M4Today and so on.

Good luck finding them anyways :)

I've created many scenarios in IL2 if you'd like to buy them off me? - "Malta under Siege" - "The Few" - "Defiants in the dark" etc, all going cheap!

Only joking.

I have now found a website where I can purchase the add ons I was after who are based in Europe & therefore will ship items to the UK.

They are available from http://www.simnetwork.com/oscommerce/index.php

Check out the Pluswave website (link on the above link) - they're doing spacecraft, doesn't say if they are for IL-2 though.

but......
If the germans had a UFO type aircraft designed, as reports indicate, what would be more natural than to fly a spacecraft against piston engine & early jet aircraft?

You seriously need to use the FMB (full mission builder) already in IL2 and save yourself some money.

Grab a WW2 aviation book use your imagination a little and get creating your own stuff, its fun and you will soon master the art of mission building, don't forget to have some fun with it too, it dont all have to be historical and serious :)
