Patch download issues

I cannot seem to download the patch for Necrovision from any of the websites. Attempts to download it from the official website get me this Windows error message,

Any one recognize this and can tell me whats wrong?

Internet Explorer is a complete and utter POS, use a browser that doesnt have an infinite number of security holes like IE. Install firefox browser and see if you can download from that.

Also, go to your start menu and go to the Run... command
type in: cmd
now type: ipconfig/flushdns
then type exit

That should clear up and DNS server conflicts you may be running into.

EDIT: Sounds as if the FTP transaction isnt working correctly with your browser. It could be a problem with your network, specifically your router. I would suggest http://www.gamershell.com/news_72124.html if you cant get it to work, or just want to download it faster.

:grin:Thanks Guys, I think you have the solution Devoldo, because I have been having problems with Internet Explorer ever since upgrading to IE-7.
I will try Firefox first mostly because I am tired of messing with IE-7, Thanks again!

I've downloaded the patch using I.E.7 & 8 and have not experienced any problems at all. So, I doubt it is an I.E. issue.

You'll find it much faster, safer, and....did I mention safer(?) using firefox. Uses less resources, less buggy, and basically hassle-free.

Yeah, well you are lucky my friend. The days of I.E. surfing and browsing are ones Id like to forget, and some day Im sure you will too. Just wait untill you come across a website that loves to install virus's and spyware into your computer via java and html, like keygen.us (my suggestion, dont go there), and youll find yourself going to the firefox link I posted :grin:

Not at all - all software allows you to keep it patched and up-to-date.

So long as your operating system has the latest patches installed, you are using the latest browser and you keep your software up to date you should not experience problems.

Most viruses/spyware/malware are known and are blocked by 1. the patches for the operating system and 2. by the latest signatures available from security software vendors.

Firefox is just as susceptible to these threats as any other browser. The key is ensuring that all the software you use is kept up to date, Firefox included.
