Hi all,

Does anyone here have a good PC, that runs King's Bounty like crap?

I used to have 2x4870 video cards that I ran in Crossfire X mode. However since realising that Crossfire X is a pretty broken platform that doesn't really offer any notable improvements, I sold both cards, and purchased a single 4870X2. This resolved all issues I had with the previous setup, except one. King's Bounty. Now, with my previous setup, I ran 2 cards, and had to disable Crossfire X to run King's Bounty or it ran really poorly.

With this setup, I cannot disable a card, since there IS only one card, there are no options I can see that will solve this, and King's Bounty runs badly, at unplayable frame rates. I can set my video options to anything, from the lowest settings to the absolute highest, and it will run exactly the same in all of them.

So... help?

I'm playing the game at 2560X1600 with every settings max without any problems.

I'm in Tri-Crossfire (4870X2 + 4870 1GB), but I did try the same settings with only my 4870X2, and the game was also running flawlessly.

So it's a user problem that you have... :( Did you try a clean format and re-installing everything?

I'm having the same problem since i was patched on steam yesterday.
It doesnt matter was resolution or settings i use, it runs like crap.
Before the patch it was perfect.

I have the same problem,

running on a quad core duo processor and a Ati radeon pro 3870x2 1 gb gddr3 graphics card, and 4 gigs of ram.

lowest or highest setting dont matter, still same framerate drop.

Ok I'm surprised to see an nVidia user here. I was thinking it was something to do with my X2 card. I also have an X-Fi soundcard as in his post - the only common thing between our systems, what sound cards do you other guys have?

probably something to do with sound. I have experienced frame rate drop in other games because of sound.

My framerates are really bad aswell, I have a GeForce 8800 GT with a dual core on windows vista :/ It looks like the screen keeps skipping frames constantly making the game unplayable

same problem here very choppy framerate,
running Vista 32 bit with a Intel Core2duo P9600 with 4GB RAM and an ATI Radeon HD 3400

maybe it is a Vista problem?

It probably is but I'm really expecting an answer from the delevopers :/ I can't play the game.
