1C and Paradox Interactive today announced that development of Elven Legacy (http://www.elven-legacy.com/), the upcoming fantasy turn-based strategy for the PC, has been completed and the game has gone Gold.

Elven Legacy is scheduled for retail release in April 2009.

How exactly does a digitally distributed game go Gold? Doesn't this mean we should be able to buy it now :-P

It's not only digitally distributed, there will be retail versions. They will appear togather with digital one.

That's great news. It seemed like Fantasy Wars never really made a big splash in retail stores. Hopefully this time there will be a lot bigger player base and more player made content as well.

The retail version will include the editor, for digital version you will have to download it separatly.

Sweet, I pre-ordered it from Play.com ages ago. Loved Fantasy Wars to death, so I'll probably love this as well.
