Friends,
ok, so I am new to gaming on PC's, and a friend of mine suggested the upcoming Men of War as its almost a virtual version of the Flames of War tabletop miniature gaming system that I play.
But not being computer savy, I have to ask, will it work on my computer?
System Specs
Pavilion a1712n
Athlon 64 (O) 3800+ 2.4 GHz
GeForce 6150 LE
Memory 1 GB (upgradable to 4 if necessary)
Hard Drive 320 GB
Running Vista as an O.S.
Thanks in advance for helping this Noob out,
J....

As far as I know it will work without problem on youre PC, but it is recomended to have 2gig's of memory.

Memory is easy enough...
Thanks.
Looking forward to the release.

Game will play, but this video-card is very slow. You will need to turn everything to minimum.

Why don't you go here and test your PC against a few games to see how it stands up?

ok, did as TheGrinde suggested and checked out Can You RUN it.
I used Faces of War, since it seems to be a predecessor and my machine, as is, landed inbetween "Minimum" and "Recommended".
Areas of weakness were the CPU itself (one above minimum) and the video card, which was previously suspect (again, 1 above minimum)
Assuming that there are no significant changes in the programming, I would guess that MOW can play, but as suggested above, perhaps another GB of memory is in store. (although there was no issue there)
Also, not being computer savy, if I installed an external video card, is it hard to get the computer to run off of it? Or is it more just "plug, few clicks of a mouse, and play"?
Thanks to all of you for tolerating this "Non-Gamers" questions,
J....

As far as I know there is no external video card but I could be wrong and not informed with the latest technology.
What I sugest is, you try the game out here http://www.digitalmindsoft.eu/forums/viewtopic.php?f=119&t=1500 for multiplayer and here http://www.menofwargame.com/demo.phtml for single player and you can know if it works for you. BTW if FOW runs on youre machine the MOW will un better , it is mutch better optimised. Have funn and see you on the game ;)
