Between February 19th and 25th 1944, some of the greatest aerial battles in the history of the world occurred over Germany as the US 8th Army Air Force laid down the gauntlet, and the Luftwaffe rose to the challenge.
On the 65th Anniversary of the battle, RAF74 is pleased to announce an invitation to IL-2 Squadrons and individuals to participate in a SCORCHED EARTH online COOP campaign which will recreate the battles of that time.
Space is limited, we have 3 Squadrons signed up so far, but Squadrons and pilots, in particular those who enjoy flying heavy bombers, and Luftwaffe fighters, would be welcome.
Start date will be Friday February 20th at 9pm US Eastern Standard time (GMT 2:00am), and the campaign will continue over the next 6 Fridays.
The Campaign will use 4.08m + Mods, but those who have an ordinary 4.08m installation can participate if they don't fly bombers or Me-210's.
