Hi Guys.
Here are my first IL2 1946 movies.
I am pleased with the way the have turned out and would appreciate your feedback.
Select WATCH IN HD prompt for best viewing.
Please watch in order shown below as they are parts 1 and 2 of same battle.
When viewing in HD the vids take a little longer to load but the viewing experience is a million times better than normal youtube quality so PLEASE be patient and you will see what I mean.
Dial-up speed and background Appliacations may effect loading speed.
Go to Youtube to watch in HD.

Nice! I see them in HD, but you have posted it in 3:4 aspect ratio. Better set the project of the video to Widescreen and crop the image so it match the 16:9 aspect ratio, and forget thos black lateral bars from now on! ;)

Why didn´t you use spits matching the time frame in the first part?
Late spits vs emils sucks i think.
Also didn´t i see any british planes go down, very single sided.

Hi robtek
The first part was made before I knew about AAA Mods so I only had default Spitfires NO Mk-I Spitfires:oops:
In part two I was showing Bombers being attacked without fighter escort so were more vulnerable.
Sorry if it seemed one sided NOT intended:(

@checkmysix

ok for the first part you should have used the Spit Vb then i think.
But i really appreciate the work you put in the movie and the results.

This cannot be edited once the video is uploaded to youtube.

You have to use a widescreen project on your video editor, adapt every clip by cropping them, and render to HD quality. Make some short tests...

In future, if you want your videos to be in widescreen, they will have to be edited & uploaded as 1280 x 720 - this will give you the required widescreen aspect ratio.

Of course, if you don't have a widescreen monitor, your video captures will have to be cropped accordingly.

checkmysix, I think the one of the best things on that video is the nice desaturation / slight sepia tint you have added to the footage.

But for me anyway your video is still a fraction too dark. I have found that the standard colour saturation on video captures is WAY too vivid. I have found that in the process from taking captures to YouTube publishing, a lot of the original brightness (or gamma) seems to disappear. The effect seems to be worse when looking at a dark background (such as the sea). In my videos I increase brightness slightly during editing to help cancel this out.

The part of the video from about 1:30 to 1:45 is well done. The camera shake and how the German plane moves in and out of the camera view is very realistic.

Hi RAAF_Stupot
Thanks M8 ,I use Pixelan correction pack for desaturaion and contrast and you are right about colour being too vivid in video capture but you dont realise the this until the movie has been uploaded.
I will try your inrease brightness tip and also desaturate more, as your aware
the colours in il-2 are very vivid anyway so with a little tweaking and some trial and error hopefully I will find the right balance.
Thanks again
