Where to get more Royal Snakes

Hi all
After reading a lot of posts here, I finally joined your forum :-)

I actually have two questions:

1. I seem to have depleted the stock of royal snakes at the "animal catcher" next to King Marks castle. Where do I find new ones? (I am currently going through Pirate Islands).

2. I have picked up too many scrolls, so I cant buy the ones I want. Do I have to dismiss all the extra scrolls I have, or is there another way so I can learn the new spells and get my old scrolls back? Or can you possibly sell them?

To reply,

1. Usually you can find royal snakes for sale in at least one of the shops and castles in Marshan swamp, and there are always royal snakes in the snake woman's hut. To find her, go to arlania and take the first path on your right, she is in the cave which you can enter at the end of that path.

2.You can sell scrolls to get rid of them, or you can use them in combat to cast the first level of that spell for free, which consumes the scroll

seems that royal snakes depends on character.. when I played warrior last time it was same situation in all 3 maps of Darion (but think that royal snakes werent in witchs hut in significat number, just a few if I remember correctly)...


now, I play mage, and there is no royal snakes at all, anywhere (like someone didnt have cyclops anywhere)... I guess that units and stuff still depends on character, even we all know that every bit of a game is randomly generated.

as a mage, I find more defensive units with high health - 1 knight for example in the first shop when went to West Islands, plenty of inquisitors (about 300 with shop in West Islands), royal thorn in verlon, etc. also, weaponry is mostly shields (tried a dozen times to start again in hope to get decent sword in main castles, like with warrior) but they are also rare compared with things that are better for mage. but, I desperately wanted sword. despite of fireball, playing a mage can be annoying in the begining coz its important not to lose inquisitors, archmages....

saw records... tried also.. now, impossible with mage - passed turtle on day 2, was level 5 at this point (both spirits lvl3, lose only few marksmans and bears), but noticed that its really hard to pass with just one melee unit (griffin for defence, other shoot from distance). griffins still all died before end (despite of spell combos, archmages and defence on them, so i decide for another option. removed griffins and inquisitors and put ancient bears (and they were better for standing in front of turtle than griffins, at least for me, even they have 20 less health but bigger defence) and weakest snakes (only buyable at this moment). any snakes are really great for turtle, despite I wanted royal snakes...
