Anyone else habing a problem starting the Demo under Vista 64bit ? When the blackscreen pops up it just crashes, wasnt able in any configuration (high low, with or without physics etc) to make it work. NVIDIA and physx drivers are latest version, my fx card is a gf8800GTS512...:confused:

I had that bug with 180.84 drivers.
181.00 work better.

What you have are beta drivers, im never installing those, talking about the 180.48 was the latest if my memory serves correctly (on another comp at the mo)

180.84 is beta but is a good driver , i played Cryostasis (full version) with it, it boosted my FPS comparing to WHQL 180.48.

Ill better have one thing not working then the techdemo running, and probs with the rest. Ill be patient for the next full release, u can stick on the betas.

Is there no solution for this ?? belive me, it is not your beta drivers giving you the problem... I have a totally different setup and am getting the same problem running Vista 64bit. Every time I run the demo, doesn't matter what setting I have it at, the initial black screen comes up, but it just crashes. You need to ctrl+alt+delete it to get back to the desktop. You also get the wonderful Vista error "Cryostasis: Sleep of Reason has stopped working".. I even had an extra hard drive, so I installed windows on it with all new drivers, all updates for Vista and I still get the same problem.... I even tried setting all defualt clocks on my overclocked components just for good measure...

System i am runnig:
e5200 @ 3.66 (orthos stable)
gigabyte p45-udp3
Vista 64 Ultimate
4gb ocz
2x4830 CrossfireX @ 750/930 8.12 drivers
