Whirlwind of Vietnam - Great Sim

Great Sim, but the manual is a little light on information. Can anyone tell me what the following keys do?

On/Off Compensator
On/Off Gov switch

And what are these supposed to do. I press the appropriate key and nothing happens...
Pan view out
pan view normal
pan view near
