Which hasn't been done before? Ever heard of mission packs?

If it's worth it *to you* then buy it. Or don't. If it's worth it to the makers then they will likely make more and better so it's as much worth it to pay as it is not to pirate IL-2 or HSFX, to which:

Informations complémentaires
Informations Techniques IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 + official patch 4.11.1m + HSFX 6.0.1.

Meaning you need this software to run this mod: IL2 1946 4.11 w/HSFX 6.0.1.
It doesn't include them. You supply the complementary software.

This is like an after-market kit for your car. Would *I* buy it? No. But others might, especially if they already run 4.11/HSFX6.01 and want the things advertised at the wave of just so few or many euros.
Some people might not like to spend major hours creating and are willing to trade fewer hours of their own in exchange. Is there a crime in that?

Personally, I think there's enough free material and generators around for what I want and then some. $15-$20? Uhhhhhhhhhh.......

Didnt they or dont they need to buy a license from 1C to advertise and sell these products though.

Still its advertised in French and the software's all in Spanish, probably one to avoid............

This is their website:
http://www.wwiies.com/

They do the same thing as desastersoft or any addon maker only difference is that they support modded maps and aircraft (the packages only include bmp and mis files as usual!).

I got their BoB and Norway addons and its really nice work, huge amount of missions with good action, many planes in the air but mission briefings are in spanish because they speak spanish.

Btw I never heard or read about this "need for buying a 1c licence" although I was involved in many addon projects.

Yes strange they also have maps in HSFX 7 called Northern Africa and Algeria-Tunisia-Sicily.

;)

You have to have 1946 and HSFX installed to use the mod.
They says so.

Do they include HSFX as part of the package? If they do and there's some if my work in it, I'll be pissed.

Dont think so as its a requirement.

But its looking fishy as they have made maps for HSFX 7 as well as selling addons.

Plus side is we get 2 free maps, they are good ones too.

The maps are free:

I didnt check but they're probably included in UP3 and DBW, I'm not familiar with HSFX.

The maps are included in HSFX too.

As to the whole post, I don't see any problem here. They're selling mission packs, nothing more and nothing less. Whether it's worth 14 Euros, is a personal decision. I personally wouldn't pay that much for a mission pack in Castillano.

Imho their stuff is very good (populated maps, ~50-70 planes per mission so the missions are busy but still playable on an average pc, custom skins for most planes, etc) and for some mod maps its very hard to find several hundred missions, if you speak spanish or dont care about briefings then theyre easily worth 14 euro.

Of course there are very good campaigns available for free at mission4today.com but if you played all of them you may want several hundred more missions about your favourite theatre of operations...btw Desastersoft makes also nice payware addons...the Wings over series was also good...addons like BoE and Ostfront are a must have.
