Hi, I am looking for a right way to setup my PP control on my x52pro Hotas. Currently I have it mapped to the slider on throttle. It works fine, but I found the range between 0% to 100% too wide. I barely get to use anything below 50%. Since I am only using half of the slider range (50-100), one tiny movement alters PP setting big time making fine tuning PP very difficult. I am wondering if there is a way to make the slider only go from 50 to 100 and also make it less sensitive to minute movements.

Sensitivity can be regulated by in game controls.

Any tips on narrowing its range?

I think it's impossible at present. Il-2 should be modded or JoyControl modified to achieve what you require. But why don't you simply assign two buttons for prop pitch up/down 10% (or 5)? Most of the time I only use the region between 70 and 100, and this step up / step down method is completely sufficient for me.

If you have the Saitek mapping software installed, you should be able to assign "zones" to different positions of the slider.

If you assign 6 zones and assign 6 key combinations in IL2(Something like Shift-4 to Shift-9 for 50% to 100% pitch) you can use hotas, without having to fiddle with the slider to get exact settings.

It's not quite analog, but 10% steps should hopefully suffice for accurate control.

The two-button solution only gives 5% increments. I wanted finer adjustments.
