I really want to get this. It's not over priced and looks like a nice gadget / accessory to continue expanding my controls with.

I am however, reluctant to make the expense before knowing if this is at all compatible with the game.

Does anyone here use this?

it will rpobably nit be. most of those controls are on-off switches, while il-2 uses push commands 99% of the time.

example:
landing gear, in il-2 you press a key to lower, and again to pull up.

with that device you would press the key, and then have to swithc back to off, and back to on again to pull it back down.

unless you can program macros, as a go-around.

most of the devices in that family are FSX exclusives.

I can confirm the switch panel is not compatible with IL2(I own one, sadly).

Using S.P.A.D. (http://fstools.weebly.com/) you can extend compatibility to FS2004 and Xplane through FSUIPC. But anything else would require custom drivers.

Saitek has a bad habit of releasing software with minimal functionality, relying on the community to write their own improvements.

Thanks for the quick response.

I will not be buying this.

I own a couple of these:

And they work fine. The additional buttons below the levers allowed me to almost entirely get rid of using the keyboard.

I figured the landing gear gadget and the switched would be problematic for IL-2.

thanks again!
