I have some missions using 1-15/16 etc as nite raiders, missions in one way or another you can see in the dark by moonlight etc. In another computer for some reason the same mission shows up looking as if its in 16 bit mode. normal look is on a lg 21 inch native at 1920x1080. Yuccky on HP vp 17 at 1280x1064. Both on nvidia cards good is on nv 545 yukky on nv 640. both set to excellent land scape etc. Is there a work around to make screen display better for nite missions, in conf ini or just tweak monitor color settings?

Assuming both computers use opengl in graphic settings , check if the one that does look funny uses s3tc/16bit texture compression , fine gradients seem to suffer the most , had this with ati and nvidia cards.
Using no texture compression gives the best image quality but may kill some fps, use the setup and change the graphic setting to custom and change compression or find the following line (under [Render_OpenGL]):
TexCompress=0
0=No compression
1=16bit conversion
2=S3TC compression
16bit looks very washed out , try setting it to S3TC, but for me the best looking is the uncompressed stuff.
