I was considering buying this stick because my X52 pro is going to take his last breaths.
If someone has the Warthog I'd like to know if throttle is noisy.
I had to sell Cougar because my wife didn't tolerate the "clunck" of the throttle.
Thx in advance for your answers.

Thx that's good.
The cougar had "clunks" passing from idle to cruise and from cruise to afterburner position....

S!

You can remove the Cougar throttle detents (the things that go clunck) :) .. There are instructions in Cougar World site if I remember correctly.

To answer your question:
The Warthog throttle is quiet. Well, depends on how violently you use the switches or the Idle detent. But the throttle lever itself moves smooth and quiet.

My Cougar stick gave out a month ago after serving for 5 years (the cast aluminum inner workings just gave out). So I bought the Warthog(stick+throttle) ... and after getting it I noticed that it would have been available as stick only for 100€ cheaper ("damn") :) .. I personally like the Cougar throttle better and still use it.

But the stick is awesome. It moves so fluidly, and the spring isn't so powerfull so my hand won't get as tired on long flights :) .. The Cougar stick had a very clear center in its axis where the stick would get slightly stuck. Warthog doesn't have it, it goes very fluidly in every position. This makes aiming much easier.

Finally the Warthog has arrived. Construction is amazing.
I have some issues on setting it up. The stick is centered like a rock in stick analizer, but in game it happens that if I move it slightly off the center left or right, it seems like it is drifting. I find it a lot difficult to avoid plane rolling...on one side or the other.
Maybe I need to tweak the curves. Actually I am using the X52 method which is 100% up all sliders.

You may need to calibrate it in WINDOWS... The Warthog uses Hal sensors which aren't noisy and should NEVER spike. Make sure you check things out and if you still have a problem you may want to return it since it's so new.

Thx Stubing,
I hadn't the time to play a lot on last days, but it seems I am having promising results changing the in game sliders, reducing sensitivity around center.
From what I've read on forums none uses the warthog with all sliders up on IL2.
Will post here as soon as I have done more tests.
